Following the release of their sophomore album Kerrigan-Lowdermilk Live, Kait Kerrigan and Bree Lowdermilk are going back to their roots with two live concerts on July 25 at 6 & 9pm at the New York Musical Theatre Festival where they debuted their first musical.
The evening will be directed by David Ruttura and there will be a variety of Broadway performers in each show including Lisa Brescia (Mamma Mia, Wicked), Jennifer Cody (The Pajama Game, Urinetown), Meghann Fahy (Next to Normal, The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown), Emma Hunton (Next to Normal national tour, Spring Awakening), Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones, Xanadu), Dee Roscioli (Wicked), Kate Shindle (Legally Blonde, Wonderland), Katie Thompson (Giant), as well as baritone Zach Altman (Gotham Chamber Opera) and singer/songwriter Jesse Ruben as well as more to be announced.
One of the most celebrated writing teams of their generation, Kait Kerrigan and Bree Lowdermilk blur the line between musical theater and pop music. Their songs, including hits "Run Away with Me" and "My Party Dress,” have found international recognition, gathering millions of views on YouTube and earning them a legion of young fans. Their critically-acclaimed debut album Our First Mistake reached #1 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter chart, and their musicals have been developed and produced at theaters across the country.
